Hours: Three to Seven Days/Week, approximately 30 minutes per day.
KISL 88.7 FM in Avalon, CA (www.kislavalon.com) seeks a motivated, articulate News Intern to file daily updates related to Catalina Island for broadcast. The News Intern will research news related to Catalina Island including fishing, marine biology, tourism, and environmental issues using internet resources, create an informative and entertaining 60-180 second audio report, and upload to our station computer for broadcast. The audio reports can be created on a smartphone or on a desktop/laptop computer. The intern does not need to live on Catalina Island and may work from anywhere in the United States. Familiarity with Catalina Island and Avalon is a plus. This is an outstanding opportunity for the right person to gain actual on-air experience as a news broadcaster.
