KISL 88.7 FM in Avalon, CA (www.kislavalon.com) seeks a motivated individual to assist with the day of coordination and set up for audio events at the KISL Greenhouse studio, as well as locations around town.
Some working knowledge of audio equipment helpful, but not necessary with a willing and attentive attitude. Get a chance to learn what it takes to make an event sound good. You will get a good basic knowledge of audio equipment. Must be willing and able to carry equipment, ability to drive, and provide a vehicle, a plus. Must be organized and keep all station owned equipment identified and separate from third part equipment. You will get backstage access to local events, and behind the scenes use of the station.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Approximately one day every two weeks, as needed
- 3-5 hours per day
- Hauling and organizing equipment from KISL studio to site
- Assist in the set up and layout of audio equipment
- Manage equipment on remote site and/or in KISL studio
COMPENSATION
This is an unpaid internship. The internship is for 3 months, but can be extended.
You will gain actual, hands on, and on-air audio/sound technical experience and basic training.
